The cry of seaside resorts is raised once again, this time through the ‘Save the beaches of Romagna’ campaign. The collection of signatures started yesterday from Bagno 62 in Rimini and will continue until next September in all the establishments between Cattolica and Ferrara. At the center of the petition is the ‘Rimini Manifesto’, the document of urgent proposals addressed directly to the government, already shared and signed by numerous political protagonists. Legacoop and the various cooperatives in the area urgently ask the Prime Minister to do all he can to save the beach resorts and the entire tourism sector.

“The beach issue has been going on for too long – explains Stefano Patrizi, head of the seaside sector of Legacoop Romagna -. A national law is needed immediately, the fate of workers and thousands of tourists is at stake. We must recognize the value of the companies that to this day they have been working on the beach, not questioning it.”

An appeal that makes its way in the middle of a season that has just begun and loudly calls for a clear and strict law on the reorganization of state concessions, to give the start to a stable and homogeneous framework at a territorial level. There are 14 cooperatives that join the initiative, together with many mayors of the Romagna coast.
