TREVISO – The request for the recognition of the State of Emergency of national importance for the has been sent to Rome bad weather from May 15th to 22nd it hit the provinces of Vicenza, Verona, Padua, Treviso, the metropolitan city of Venice and the municipality of Badia Polesine (RO). The request, accompanied by a technical report, is signed by the President of the Veneto Region and addressed to the President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Civil Protection and the Head of the National Civil Protection Department in which the reasons for the request for support are specified economic to deal with the damage caused by last month’s bad weather.
“Considering the significant effects on the ground found in the territories – specifies the President of Veneto – the regional offices of the Civil Protection Directorate promptly started an initial rapid reconnaissance of the damage from which it emerges that public assets alone suffered damage amounting to 270 million euros”.
The technical report, in fact, represents the outcome of a rapid survey aimed at defining the amount necessary for public interventions. After the possible recognition of the state of emergency of national importance, a subsequent reconnaissance will be launched to ascertain the damage to private individuals and production activities.
