The agreement signed in the prefecture provides for the establishment of the provincial observatory

This morning, at the Government Palace in Brescia, 20 local bodies, including institutions, trade associations, professional associations and trusts, signed a protocol for the prevention and fight against usury and extortion.

The agreement aims to strengthen support tools for micro-businesses and families in difficulty and to prevent the spread of criminal phenomena of usury and extortion.
For this purpose, the Provincial Observatory on the phenomenon of usury was established at the prefecture: an organization for monitoring, connecting and promoting lines of intervention.

During the meeting, Prefect Laganà underlined the importance of the collaboration of victims in reporting crimes of usury and extortion, and recalled that the Office of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the coordination of anti-racketeering and anti-usury initiatives has published a handbook with all the information for victims of usury and extortion, available on the prefecture website.
