ROSE GARDEN. New life for the museum of material culture of Montepagano. In fact, yesterday morning, in the council chamber of Roseto, the signature between the Municipality and the “Vecchio Borgo” association was presented for the partnership agreement between the Municipality and the third sector association, which allowed the digitization of the works within of the museum and some ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions.
“Vecchio Borgo” in fact, represented yesterday by the president Annamaria Rapagnàby the vice president Enzo Di Giulio and from Lino Quadraccioni (two other members were absent, Sabina Falà And Danilo Marinozzi), was awarded a Pnrr loan of 48 thousand euros last year, provided by the Ministry of Culture for some museums in Italy. Thanks to the financial contribution of several private individuals, including the pagan singer of “Il Volo” Gianluca Ginoble managed to raise other resources for a total of 93 thousand euros. The mayor was present at the conference Mario NugnesAnnamaria Rapagnà, Enzo Di Giulio and Lino Quadraccioni of the “Vecchio Borgo” association, and Francesco Guerrieri, owner of Omniasoft, which is dealing with the digitization of the works. «Digitizing does not simply mean saying which objects are in the museum», explains Guerrieri, «but also giving a soul to each of them through photos and videos. I thank the “Vecchio Borgo” association which chose me for this important work, and the administration which believed in this project.” Rapagnà is the historical memory of the museum and popular traditions of Montepagano, the historic center of Roseto, and has managed it for years. «I am satisfied with this project», underlines Rapagnà, «because in this way we are giving a turning point to our museum and the rebirth of Montepagano can start again from there». Enzo di Giulio also made an important contribution so that this partnership, which can be replicated by other associations, took shape.
«I thank our financial advisor Ezio Di Cristofaro and the lawyer Donatella Di Cesarebecause without them this project would not have started”, adds Di Giulio, “we also thank the Omniasoft company, the municipal administration and the historic Mario Giunco who gave us a big hand. We will make this museum accessible to everyone and there will also be a website. Material culture indicates the culture of objects, which are capable of realizing the discovery of the past and constitute a simple and spontaneous heritage for learning about local history, to bring young people closer to traditions”. Once the project is completed, the museum will be paid for.
