CrAsti Foundation, Intercultura scholarships awarded

In recent days, at the headquarters of the Cassa di Risparmio di Asti Foundation, the Intercultura scholarships aimed at high school students in the province of Asti were awarded.
Present at the ceremony were the president of the CrAsti Foundation, Mario Sacco, the president of the local Interculture Center of Asti, Annarita Nulchis Green, with the volunteer Eleonora Stella, and Emanuela Giacomini, vice-president of the regional coordination of the provincial student councils.
In our territory for over thirty years, the association has been organizing and financing, thanks to the collaboration of the CrAsti Foundation, international school mobility programs useful for promoting a culture of dialogue and exchange. «I thank – underlined Annarita Nulchis during her speech – the CrAsti Foundation which has supported our programs since 2014 and which during this ten-year cooperation has allowed, with the provision of scholarships, the departure of 15 students. Naturally – she added – I hope that this continuity will remain and, indeed, will be strengthened over time”.

The winners

This year the deserving children were Catalina Maria Bozzola, a sixteen-year-old student enrolled at the Alfieri classical high school, who will participate in an annual school program in France, and Mathias Casalicchio, a sixteen-year-old student enrolled at the Foscolo high school, who will participate in a six-month school program in Costa Rica, both very satisfied and excited.
Catalina, of Romanian origins, lives in Montiglio and often goes to Romania to visit relatives. She defines herself as a sociable, lively and carefree girl who is always committed to everything she does, attends the third year of classical high school with excellent grades, is part of the choir and the theater self-managed by the school students and, in her free time, loves to read , dedicate yourself to photography and go out with friends. With this annual stay you want to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a foreign language and understand the world beyond the Italian borders more deeply. «From the Interculture program – commented Catalina – I expect to live a unique cultural and linguistic experience».
Mathias lives in Asti instead. He describes himself as a somewhat shy and reserved boy, but outgoing with the people he knows. He attends the third year of scientific high school and his favorite subjects are biology, mathematics and history. He is very passionate about sports, especially boxing which he practices assiduously, so much so that at university he would like to study Kinesiology (movement science).
For Mathias it will be very important to approach a new culture and a different scholastic approach.
