Everything is ready to host some of the most talented champions of beach football taken to the nth degree: the fans’ expectations are all for the match between the world champions Brazil and the vice-champions Italy.
A very complex event, many spectacular matches, which confirm once again the sporting vocation of Fiumicino, a true “city of sports on sand”.
Furthermore, this Sunday’s match will be played in an absolutely prestigious setting, given that a wonderful arena has been set up inside the stadium for this weekend. “Beach Estate Sports Village”.
But there won’t be only the rematch-remake of the world championship final between Italy and Brazil to put on a show, given that within the same maxi-event, the very prestigious “Sky Sport International Beach Soccer Tour”the national teams will also compete on the sand of Fiumicino Romania and Egypt.
Therefore an event of great prestige, which Federica Poggio, councilor for Sport and Tourism of the municipality of Fiumicino, presents in this way: “Being able to stage this important stage of the very prestigious Sky Sport ‘International Beach Soccer Tour’ on Saturday and Sunday within the ‘Beach Estate Sports Village’ is a source of pride. It is a ‘happening’, an event, which I am sure will thrill our fellow citizens and will turn into a tourist attraction for many Romans and beyond”.
Going into the details of the scheduled matches, the matches will be visible live and completely free to spectators: we start on Saturday 15 June, with continuous challenges from 6pm to 9pm and will continue the following day, Sunday 16 June, from 8pm to 11pm.
Furthermore, for lovers of 11-a-side football traditional, the municipality of Fiumicino has announced that in the same setting, to involve all fans, the maxi-screen will be inaugurated where it will be visible – also in this case, free – the inaugural match of Luciano Spalletti’s national team, who will face Albania in Dortmund on Saturday 15 June in their debut at Euro 2024 (9pm).
