The first quarter-final goes to Raggisolaris Academy Faenza, which takes a double-digit lead at the start and never looks back. At half-time Frascati was -21, a gap too wide to fill and which actually widened in the third set. For Faenza 18 points from Bianchi, 16 from Ballarin Chinellato and 11 from Bendandi. For Frascati, Guaita’s 14 and Yenan’s 12 are not enough.

Stella Azzurra Roma wins and convinces, taking a quarter to get to grips with Legnano, taking off before the long interval and then spreading at the end, inflicting a heavy 27-2 on their opponents in the last ten minutes. Pyrotechnic performance in attack for coach Iacoangeli’s team, which sends five players into double figures (D’Arcangeli 14, Aizpurs 20, Curbelo Mendieta 11, Ntsourou 20, Lumena 16) and approaches the semi-final in the best possible way. Legnano gives in at the end, after trying to get back in touch with an intense and courageous third quarter: for coach Bianchi the top scorer is Dagri at 32, then Dell’Acqua with 18 points.
