There Puglia seen from space, while the G7 with the greats of the world a Borgo Egnazia, in the Fasano area. The heel of Italy seen from above, with its own beauties. The shot, which received thousands of shares and appreciations on social media, was posted on social media by ESA (the European Space Agency) and was created by Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth observation programme, dedicated to monitoring our planet and its environment. On Twitter (now X) many have reshared the wonderful photo, taken directly from space.

“The image shows part of Puglia and Basilicata, regions in southern Italy,” writes ESA. And it places everything on the level of three colors, represented by hearts in social language. The blue tones of the water represent the sediments transported into the sea by the rivers; the green shows various natural reserves such as the Aleppo Pine Forest of the Stornara Nature Reserve; gray shows urban areas, such as Bari, Borgo Egnazia, Lecce, Matera and Brindisi. The mention of Borgo Egnazia is no coincidence, which until today represents the center of the world, due to the G7 with the planet’s leaders (yesterday, when the photo was taken, the Pope was also there).

The photo can be enlarged in the digital version to observe some details. And one is even highlighted by the European Space Agency: «Oh! You can even see the Nardò track – they write on Twitter. And here the reference is to the Nardò Technical Center.
