The Asti music scene welcomes a new gem with the release of the new EP by Gabriele Strozza, known artistically as STRAUSS. The singer-songwriter from Asti published today, June 14, “Can I free myself? (part 1)”, a project that promises to be only the first half of a larger work.
Who is STRAUSS?
Gabriele Strozza, aka STRAUSS, is a multifaceted artist with a diverse academic and musical background. Graduated in political, economic and social sciences and in marketing and communication at the University of Turin, he enriched his education with international experiences in Boston and Dublin. Musically, he developed his skills at the School of Rock in Asti under the guidance of maestro Beppe Rosso (guitar and composition) and at IEM with maestro Stefano Corona (singing), learning the piano by himself.
Genre and Musical Influences
STRAUSS’s musical genre is singer-songwriter pop, with marked influences from Modà, especially with regards to the arrangements of the songs. However, his style is also strongly influenced by the world of Disney and musicals such as High School Musical, Camp Rock, La La Land and The Greatest Showman, which give his compositions a dreamy and cinematic dimension.

STRAUSS’s new EP, entitled “Can I liberate myself? (part 1)”, is available from today on all its digital platforms (click here —->>> linktr.ee/strauss_records). Consisting of four tracks – “Mi can liberate?”, “Stay with me”, “Vorrei da un’occhi” and “Vivi till death” – the EP was recorded in Asti with the arranger Beppe Lombardi and the contribution to the voices, mix and master by Alberto Pozzo Tebani.
