Ennio’s music Morricone should have opened the dance of the month of concerts in the “living room of the city”, Piazza San Marco. Instead over one hundred artists of the Filarmonia Veneta Regional Orchestra and the Venetian Singers will perform at the Malibran Theater. The first major musical event in the shadow of the «paron de casa» (the bell tower, ed), officially for technical-organizational reasons: during the show the melodies are in fact expected to be accompanied by some projections that would be perfectly usable only in a more intimate context like the theatrical one.
Whispers and protests
But it is said in a whisper that there was also one poor advance ticket sales (there are 5 thousand seats in the square) and the news of the “move” sparked controversy among those who have already purchased tickets to enjoy the show surrounded by the Procuratie: “It’s a joke I hope – says one of them on the Municipality’s social networks of Venice – Didn’t we know right away there would be screenings?». And again: «With all due respect to the Malibran, going from the most beautiful living room in the world to the theater I will have to swallow a big disappointment». The «Ennio Morricone – Marco Polo Soundtrack» however, it will be held on Saturday 29 June at 9pm, at the Malibran, where for the first time the soundtrack of the film «Marco Polo» composed by the maestro and accompanied by unpublished images shot by director Giuliano Montaldo on set in 1982. tickets already purchased on presale remain valid for the new concert venue: the new map of sectors and seats will be published soon.
The Summer Festival
Starting today Reservations are then open for the highly anticipated 105 Summer Festival at San Giuliano Park. Until tomorrow only residents of the Municipality of Venice will have the opportunity to secure a place free of charge, while on Saturday and Sunday it will be the turn of citizens of the Metropolitan City. From Monday 17 June onwards, bookings can be made by everyone. June 21st at San Giulianoall the protagonists of the most loved music of the moment will take to the stage: from Alessandra Amoroso to Elettra Lamborghini, from Articolo 31 to Baby K, from Ghali to Mr. Rain, from Gemelli Diversi to Paola and Chiara and many others, all presented by Radio 105 hosts Mariasole Pollio and Daniele Battaglia. «After the great success of the Nuclear Tactical Penguins last year – declared the mayor Luigi Brugnaro – this year we are opening Parco San Giuliano to Radio 105, which by stopping in Venice will enrich our calendar with another important event. It will be a beautiful evening, dedicated to young people and families.” In the meantime, the «Bissuola Live» event ended, recording over 10 thousand total attendances. For five evenings the Albanese park in Mestre hosted Roberto Vecchioni, Max Gazzè, Willy Peyote, Carmen Consoli and finally the historic band New Trolls, attracting spectators of all ages.
