The textual forecasts of this bulletin refer to the area represented in the map above and therefore concern the entire provinces of Asti and Alessandria and the territories of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
Sky: cloudy or very cloudy in the morning, partial clearings during the central hours of the day but scattered clouds remain, gradually clearer during the evening.
Rainfall: in the morning (06-12 hours) scattered light showers, more likely between Northern Astigiano, Val Cerrina and Casalese, between the second part of the afternoon and the beginning of the evening (16-19 hours) scattered showers and possible passage of an isolated thunderstorm , more likely between the Centre-North of Asti (including Asti), Monferrato Asti, Val Cerrina, Casalese, Albese and Roero; dry during the rest of the evening.
Temperatures: increasing in minimum values; daily temperature extremes in Asti: +18°C / +24°C. Minimum temperatures anywhere between +14 and +18°C and maximum temperatures mostly between +21 and +24°C with lower values in the Alta Langa and sectors bordering Liguria (+18/+20°C).
Winds: moderate or at times strong from the south-east due to marine conditions in Alessandria, southern Asti and the Langhe with gusts of up to 50-60 km/h on the hilly sectors south of the Tanaro. Elsewhere on Roero, Northern Astigiano and Val Cerrina weaker.
Synoptic analysis and trend for the next few days: in the next few days we will witness a rise of the African Anticyclone on the south-eastern Mediterranean with a first but fleeting heat wave on Central-Southern Italy, in the meantime Western Europe continues to be affected by much cooler and humid Atlantic currents. The Alpine area and Northern Italy are located at the limits of these two air masses: for this reason in the North-West starting from the weekend of 15-16 June we will see an increase in temperatures which will reach its peak between Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th with peaks of up to 30-31°C in the plains. However, there will be instability at times with thunderstorms which may locally be of strong intensity and accompanied by cloudbursts and hailstorms, especially between Thursday 20th and Friday 21st.
Sunday 16 June: clear or slightly cloudy. Maximum temperatures slightly increasing: minimums of +13/+17°C and maximums of +22/+26°C.
Monday 17 June: clear or slightly cloudy. Increasing temperatures: minimum of +14/+18°C and maximum of +24/+28°C.
Tuesday 18 June: clear or slightly cloudy. Increasing temperatures: minimum of +14/+18°C and maximum of +27/+31°C.
