Churches, palaces, monuments and archaeological areas will see extraordinary and evening openings to tell stories, reveal spaces not normally accessible, rediscover places and details in suggestive environments, until sunset… and waiting for the stars”. Thus the note from the Italian Touring Club for the initiative scheduled for next weekend.
“TO Reggio Calabria on the occasion of “Open for you under the Stars 2024” the volunteers of the Italian Touring Club accompany visitors discovering the Council Chamber of Palazzo S. Giorgio (Piazza Italia), designed by Ernesto Basile, a richly furnished environment with the chairs and the presidential table, all made according to the architect’s original drawings”.
“The volunteers of the Touring Club also accompany you on the discovery of the Red Room or Salone di Mons. Ferro of Palazzo Corrado Alvaro (Piazza Italia), designed by the architect Camillo Autore. Named after Msgr. Giovanni Ferro in 1966, this representative room was restored to preserve its artistic splendor, including wall paintings, frames, stuccos and noble furnishings”.
