A goal from Chiesa or El Shaarawy (who remained in the hearts of the Paduan fans), a tunnel from Jorginho, a save from Donnarumma: every moment of Euro2024 will be an opportunity to live the blue dream together with friends and those you love.

This is why there are so many festivals that have decided to organize large screens to allow the people of Padua to enjoy the match outdoors, obviously hoping that good weather and pleasant temperatures will arrive. They join the many locals who will tune their televisions to Rai live broadcasts which will broadcast the matches of the Italian national team, plus all the matches from the quarter-finals onwards and one match a day in the group and round of 16 stages. The Sky channels (with streaming on NowTv) will broadcast all 51 matches that will be played in Germany until the final on 14 July.

ALL READY FOR TOMORROW

Tomorrow evening at 9pm at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund, Luciano Spalletti’s national team will take to the field to face Albania, in what is already a fundamental challenge for the passage of the group. This is why almost all events in Padua will already be ready with big screens. In the historic center we start from Parco Prandina, in Corso Milano, which for the occasion offers the possibility of dining with cicchetti, wines, pizza and beers. At Milcovich park there is Arcella Bella where the match will be projected on the “Dr Martens” stage and entry will be free of charge.

The Sherwood Festival underway in the northern car park of the Euganeo stadium promises to broadcast the national team’s matches on «one of the largest screens in the city», also in this case entry is with the formula “one euro is enough” and inside of the event there are stands for drinking and dining.

At the SunRise Garden in the Alpini park between via Capitello and via Due Palazzi the offer even includes two giant screens with more than 600 seats and two food outlets with pizza, burgers, fried foods and first courses. Big screen also at the Voltabeer in Voltabrusegana. And among those who set up the screens for the Euro2024 matches there are also the Naviglio in Viale Colombo, the Telaio bike café in Lungargine Terranegra and the Kiosk in Via Ariosto.

WHO START LATER

Big screen also at the Parco della Musica in via Venezia, but only starting from Thursday, when the Azzurri will face the difficult match against Spain and then on Monday 24th in the last match of the group against Croatia. Then if the national team reaches the round of 16 the enthusiasm will rise to a higher level and it is not excluded that other activities will install new giant screens.

«The arrival of the European Championships and the national team matches not only represents a great sporting moment but above all the opportunity to be together and share the spectacle of football in the city’s meeting places – explains the parks councilor Antonio Bressa – Also for the Europeans Padua proves to be a lively city that offers citizens, but also students and tourists, a vast range of entertainment”.

From parks to festivals, even in the province it is a celebration for the Azzurri

There are many initiatives to follow the European Football Championships in the province too. Starting from the summer events with Borgo & Co, located in Piazza Camerini in Piazzola.

In the large open space where there are kiosks with taverns and cicchetti you can also enjoy the big screen with the Euro 2024 matches. Still in Piazzola, but in the Gribaldo park (in via Tremignon in Vaccarino), a former nursery transformed in the park, from tonight until July 14th there will be a 4K big screen of “Magic Nights”.

At Conselve in the municipal lawn on the occasion of the Summer Prà Festival until June 30th there will also be a big screen to follow all the matches from Germany. And again in Tribano a screen was installed in the small square of the parish patronage with the Circolo Noi. Not for tomorrow’s match, but starting from 17 June (and until 13 July, the day before the final) there will be a huge screen in Bovolenta at the Ponte Blu sports complex, on the occasion of the Italcereali Cup of men’s 5-a-side football and women’s and beach volleyball tournaments.

On Thursday 20th the match of Spalletti’s national team against the red furies of Spain will be broadcast on the big screen in Montagnana in Musica, before the Rumatera concert. The screening of Italy-Croatia on Monday 24th at the festival of San Giovanni Battista in the gardens of the primary schools of Agna has also already been prepared. From 27 June to 1 July the big screen also arrives in Saonara: it is part of the program of the Saonara in Festa event, organized by the Municipality and Pro Loco at the Olivo park in Viale dello Sport in Villatora. There will also be a bar service, sandwiches, wraps and first courses. Finally, in Carmignano di Brenta, during the Carmignano summer, the big screen will be set up only from the quarter-finals onwards, obviously if Italy is there, to all experience the blue dream together.
