Three summer concerts will mark the Tenth Anniversary of the Canova Orchestra.
The events, organized in partnership with the Municipality of Varese and with the support of the Varesotto Community Foundation (and where Canova has recently opened its own fund to support young musicians), and see the collaboration of the Varese Estense Festival – Menotti, of Polyphonic Group “J. Desprez” of Varese and the Matteo Varese House Committee.
The first concert is next June 15th at 6pm at the Esedra of Villa Toeplitz (in case of bad weather the concert will be moved to the Church of S. Stefano in Velate), with a program dedicated to the eighteenth-century counterpoint of JS Bach and WA Mozart. On the podium of Canova, its director and founder Enrico Saverio Paganoclose to important debuts at the helm of the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Turin and at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
The review will continue on June 28th, at 8.30pm, with a program from the Renaissance to today performed by the Polyphonic Group “J. Desprez” – historic collaborator of Canova – and directed by its founder Francesco Miotti: the appointment in this case is at the Church of S. Stefano in Velate.
The last appointment on July 13th at 6pm, always atExedra of Villa Toeplitz with one of the greatest accordion virtuosos: Simone Zanchini, who will perform in a program dedicated to Piazzolla and Morricone.
