Last year, to overcome the problem, the Administration had sown the lawn, delimiting the area with signs reiterating that it was forbidden to trample on the grass and access it with dogs.
The fact is that on that occasion, instead of giving them to the ball, the kicks had reached the signposts. Dejected. And so on the same day the then mayor Ranalli was forced to remove everything and make access free, with all due respect to the times foreseen by nature.
However, there is another issue that causes discussion and division, that of dogs.
It is not clear, or perhaps it is but tolerated, whether it is permissible to walk in that meadow with your faithful four-legged friend. If only for the possibility – concretely – that rude owners allow dogs to urinate on it, thus contributing to making it increasingly yellower and drier.
As long as it’s not bad watering that discolors it.
The other garden in the historic centre, the one in Piazza Savonarola, looks like an impeccable golf course. Here, however, irrigation managed by third parties is optimal and signs prohibit access to animals and sporting activities. In reality, but perhaps it is his salvation, he is also very little known.
