ROVIGO – The relaunch phase is gaining strength Exhibition center citizen. The multi-year plan launched by the sole administrator Stefano Barofrom 2021 at the helm of Censer, the company’s capital increase operation proposed by the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation continues, which first saw the transformation of Censer from a joint-stock company to a limited liability company (the amendment to the statute eliminated the control constraint public) and then the recapitalization of the company to allow the restructuring of bank and third party debt (then quantified at 3 million). A path which included the exit from the corporate structure of the Province and the Municipality of Rovigo, and therefore the entry of the instrumental and real estate company of the Cariparo Foundation, Auxilia. What will change?

COMPANY MISSION
«Without prejudice to the company mission, which sees the complex aspire to be a point of reference for Training, Innovation and Culture – explains Stefano Baro – the theme of events, be they of a conference, exhibition and/or recreational type, is an aspect that well complements the district. In this regard, an area of over 2 thousand square meters is being modernized to better meet the needs of both the established businesses and those who choose us from time to time as the venue for their events. We consider this presence qualifying both for CenSer and for the city of Rovigo.”
Does the industrial plan include a change of use for building E? «The building structurally presents unique peculiarities in terms of dimensions and types of access. One side suitable for the entry of even large volume goods and the other side overlooking the new boulevard, make it a very flexible structure for entrepreneurial activities aimed at action or innovation. We expect that laboratories, start-ups, open innovation environments, digital artisans, offices and representative activities will find space here. We recently divided an area of approximately 1,300 square meters to create spaces for the “Physical and mechanical tests” and “Reaction to fire” laboratories of the T2i Srl company. Negotiations are underway for the inclusion of three other entities. The characteristics of the building allow each space to be adapted based on the requests that gradually arrive. The breadth of available spaces allows us to find the best solutions based on everyone’s needs.”
Will the outdoor spaces also change?
«The central boulevard is being completed, the avenue that runs longitudinally through the neighborhood, pedestrianized and structured to be the fulcrum of life and relationships within the Censer complex, with the installation of technological/connected tables and benches, some works of art by the Rovigo artist Cesare Zancanaro, the creation of bamboo platforms, new dedicated lighting, greenery and trees. All the interventions are aimed at increasing the liveability of the neighborhood at the service of all the people who frequent the exhibition center”.

UNIVERSITY AND SERVICES
The presence of theUniversity did you guide the planning of spaces and services? For the space in front of the gym there is talk of a footing ring, a padel court and other sports. «To be honest, there is still no gym in the neighborhood, while the population of the complex has grown drastically. Today the Censer has a daily influx of around 1,650 people, destined to grow to around 2,100 in the short term. Also together with the University, we are working to strengthen the auxiliary services offered to users of the area. Some of these services are under development; among these the possibility of establishing a gym and a multipurpose field”.
The influx of students will further increase with the transfer of Enaip from Don Bosco.
«This is a particularly important and innovative intervention, which will allow Enaip to offer an excellent training offer. The investment is huge and the fact that Enaip has chosen Censer for such a quality headquarters in Rovigo is a source of pride for us.”
