Excellent results that celebrate the World Blood Donor Day established on 14 June by the World Health Organization to raise awareness among the population of the importance of blood donation for those in need of safe transfusions and to encourage more and more people to become donors.
This year the global campaign has the slogan “20 Years of Celebrating Giving: Thank You, Blood Donors!”, a big thank you to all those in the world who, through a simple but enormously generous gesture, have saved lives.
Furthermore, to further support the donation, the ATS has signed with the local Gift Associations, the local Assts, the Provincial Orders of Doctors and the Nursing and Midwifery Professions, Csv Lombardia and the Territorial School Offices a Memorandum of Understanding for the creation of information pathspromotion and awareness of the culture of donation, with the aim of making informed choices, also oriented towards promoting healthy lifestyles, and increasing the number of donors.
