THEthe municipal councilor Antonio De Sabato presented an interpellation, discussed yesterday in the city council, for the creation of additional offices to assist in completing applications for the inclusion allowance and family support, intended for non-self-sufficient disabled people residing in Foggia.
The councilor for social policies Simona Mendolicchio he explained in the chamber that approximately 20 percent of the interested audience turned to Caf and patronages to present requests relating to the two measures. The Municipality of Foggia has provided support through the Social Secretariat and Single Access Door (PUA) desks present in via Fuiani, in corso Garibaldi, and in via Grecia and piazza Libertà at the ASL Foggia, to provide all the useful information in merit. To address the critical issues identified, the Territorial Area of Foggia nominated the “Digital facilitation services network” project for funding on 11 April, included in national measure 1.7.2. of the Pnrr for the Department for Digital Transformation, and which provides for the creation of physical places (three, in this specific case) in which citizens can be supported by digital facilitators in the use of the internet, thus providing support and orientation, and therefore useful tools not only for the presentation of the requests under question, but also for any other procedure in which good digital knowledge is essential.
“The financing – for a total amount of 120 thousand euros – was approved last May 2nd, and three new branches will be activated after the advance of 30 percent of the expected sum has been received and the necessary start-up process has been completed” announced the councilor. “I am close to the people and families who have had difficulties, and the objective of the Social Services and my staff for future measures is to make the procedures simpler and more accessible, also through the organization of training sessions and courses for workers CAF and the Patronages, in order to define unique methods and meet the needs and expectations of citizens even more”, he concluded.
