A lunch to try to save theOlbia Football. Today 13th June, at the Sportitalia Village of Folgore Caratese in Carate Brianza, Roberto Felleca met the Swiss lawyer Benno Räbermember of the Olbia board of directors at Swiss Pro quota, the technical consultant of the Gallura club Ninni Cordalong in the past with Felleca between Como and Foggia, and the manager Nicola Bignotti.

Not being able to repay the debt and obviously not being interested in taking on Felleca’s previous expenses, the Swiss company would remain 70% owner of the Gallura club with the task of finding investors for repay the accumulated debt. With the hope that the defaults of the last year in Serie C (deadline for payments on 10 July) do not lead to any penalties also in Serie D. In the meantime, however, if the talks were to be successful, Felleca has committed to paying for the Serie D registration by July 11th, the deadline.
And Marino?
The role of the 30% who still own the club’s shares remains to be understood. That is, the former president Alessandro Marino (10%), Gian Renzo Bazzu (10%) e Alexandre Tartara (10%). It cannot be ruled out that after this first lunch between Felleca and Räber there will also be a meeting with Marino, before the definitive closing for the future of Olbia. Although the collaboration at the moment between the former owner and the Swiss Pro after long question and answer of the past few weeks between interviews, conferences and poisonous press releases seems difficult to say the least. What is certain is that in the next few days Felleca will try to have all the necessary guarantees for take the helm of Olbia and avoid failure, but not only that. Because the desire is to immediately create a competitive team, which is never easy in Serie D, perhaps even with the help that could come from Cagliari with the inclusion of some young players from the youth sector. But these are reasonings that bite off more than you can chew. To try to start again in Olbia now small steps are neededstarting with one series of meetings to find the square between SwissPro And Felleca, so as not to go too far ahead of the federal deadlines, in less than a month, when certainties and signatures will be needed for the valid papers to participate in the next fourth series. However, after a lunch in Brianza, a hope remains. And after the last few weeks in Olbia it’s already something.
