In the top 10 of the “Supporting Healthy Lives” category for the World’s Best School Prizes 2024 – the most prestigious award in the world in the field of education – a Salento high school was selected: Galilei – Costa – Scarambone of Lecce.

The “Mabasta” project was born in 2016 precisely from the will of the students of the Lecce technical and professional institute. Particularly touched by the news of a suicide attempt by a 12-year-old girl from Pordenone who was a victim of bullying, the kids wanted to do something to combat such a widespread phenomenon. “Mabasta”, therefore, is a real movement whose protagonists are 14-17 year old students committed to communicating, training and raising awareness among other students to become proactive on the issues of prevention, contrast and fight against cyberbullying and cyberbullying. bullying. The initiative, appreciated and widespread throughout Italy, involves the involvement of over 35 thousand Italian students.
