Latina, 13 June 2024 – Today the Carabinieri of the Operational Department-Investigation Unit of Latina notified a decree for the application of the special public security surveillance measure issued by Criminal Section III, Specialized Section – prevention measures of the Civil Court and Criminal Court of Rome, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office Latina, to a 42 year old from Latina, considered dangerous as a person who habitually lives with the proceeds of criminal activity and dedicated to the commission of crimes that endanger public safety and tranquility.
The investigation activity, carried out by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit under the direction of the Pontine Prosecutor’s Office, made it possible to demonstrate how the man, since he was little more than an adult, almost without interruption, was a person engaged in criminal activities such as crimes against property and drugs.
The provision will oblige the man, for the next 2 years, not to leave the municipality of residence or habitual abode, not to leave his home during the hours between 9.00 pm and 6.30 am, to immediately start looking for a job and to do not associate with people who have been convicted and are subject to prevention measures. The proceeding is in the precautionary phase, with the consequence that the principle of presumption of innocence applies to the person subjected to the measure.
