On the night between 11 and 12 June, agents from the Latina flying squad arrested a Romanian citizen for mistreatment.
The officers intervened following a report of a car request received by the victim, who after being beaten and deprived of her mobile phone, managed to lock herself in the bathroom and use a second phone to call for help.
As soon as they arrived on site, the police found the man on the landing of the house, in an evident state of alcoholic alteration, who told them about an argument he had with his ex-partner but which was completely resolved, in a probable attempt to prevent the victim from being able to tell the officers about the episode.
The woman instead said that she had met her ex-partner in the entrance hall of the building and that she had been forcefully forced to enter the apartment that the two had shared until recently. The man, after having repeatedly offended her, in a fit of anger due to her jealousy, slapped her forcefully, making her hit her head against the wall and depriving her of her cell phone.
Running towards the bathroom, the victim then used the other telephone at his disposal to alert the police.
The woman, interviewed by the investigators, reconstructed a context of episodes of violence and threats suffered on multiple occasions by the man, some of which had been reported previously, others for which she had not filed a complaint, episodes also confirmed by reports medical.
In light of the victim’s declarations and the elements collected, also in reference to the plurality of episodes of violence suffered, the man was arrested for the crime of domestic abuse and associated with the Latina prison, available to the AG
