The initiatives for thesummer 2024 promoted byG. Rossini Symphony Orchestra together with Municipality of Fanowith the patronage of Marche region he was born in Ministry of Culture and the support of sponsors BCC Cooperative Credit Bank and Enerecus.

Rossini Symphony Orchestra, and representatives of the numerous entities participating in the initiative, unveiled the rich program of the sixth edition of the Symphony Pop Festivalwhich for the second year is split between two evocative places in the city of Fano: the Malatesta Fortress and theformer Church of San Francescowhere the presentation press conference was also held.

These two places will host i four appointments scheduled between the last week of June and the month of July: the former Church of San Francesco will host the chamber concertswith smaller staff, while the Rocca Malatestiana will welcome the great symphonic ensemble: they will be on stage always the professors of the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra, even as soloistsengaged in projects of national importance.

The season opens Sunday 23 June at 9.15pm at the former Church of San Francesco The Dmitrij Triomade up of two OSR professors, Henry Domenico Durante (violin) e Francesco Alessandro De Felice (cello) and the pianist Michele Sampaolesi. The trio, winner of national and international competitions, regularly invited to perform at prestigious institutions and with an intense recording activity under their belt, will present a program dedicated to the two composers to whom Rossini dedicated as many cycles: Ludwig van Beethoven And Johannes Brahms. A surprise will complete the program: one Fantasy in the first ever performance that unites the themes of the Symphony Pop Festival 2024a trailer that opens the summer season.

The season continues Saturday 6 July at 9.15pm at the Rocca Malatestiana with the lyrical concert “Puccini and surroundings” dedicated to the composer of operas whose 100th anniversary of his death marks the 100th anniversary of his death in 2024: the Rossini Symphony Orchestra will accompany the voices of Giuseppe Infantino, tenorAnd Varduhi Khachatryan, soprano, in some of the most loved pages in the Lucca area. The young and established man directs Maestro Corrado Valvo. The evening is in collaboration with Tiberini Awardcreated by Giosetta Guerra and dedicated to the famous tenor Mario Tiberini (1826-1880), born in San Lorenzo in Campo (PU). Guerra is a fellow citizen of the tenor, of whom she is the only biographer in the world: former teacher, opera, ballet and theater critic, her Mario Tiberini International Opera Prize has in the roll of honor world famous artists.

The Saturday following, July 13th at 9.15pmRossini will remain at Malatesta Fortress for a new crossover project with the voice of the Italian star Chiara Galiazzowho will try his hand at a homage to the Italian songincluding one of course selection of their great successes. Stardust, Two breaths, The sky in a room, If I’m here tonight, some of the songs on the programme. On the podium the Maestro Roberto Molinelliwho also took care of the arrangements for symphony orchestra.

Another crossover event closes the season, which unites the baroque music to the sound of rock: BaRock it is a project born from an idea of two first violinists of Rossini, Henry Domenico Durante and Francesco Pellegrini, who, accompanied by the orchestra’s string section and the OSR band, will try their hand at a “disguise” of Antonio Vivaldi as a pop star. The project debuts in the world premiere Tuesday 30 July at 9.15pm at the former Church of San Francesco.

Rossini decided to present these to the Fano public four huge events while keeping ticket and season ticket prices downwhich they reach in 2024 very low figureswith a view to bringing more and more people to appreciate great music of all genres, from opera to rock, from symphonic to Italian singer-songwriter.

The Symphony Pop Festival takes advantage of the precious synergy of Malatesta Fortress of Fanofrom the Fortuna Theater Foundation and gods Friends of the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra.
