IMOLA (ITALPRESS) – The fourth edition of the Suzuki Bike Day 2024 in Imola is a winning formula that confirms the positive trend of recent years and closes on growth again. There were 2,817 participants in the great bicycle festival organized by Suzuki who brought enthusiasm, passion and a spirit of challenge along the roads of Romagna. The pedal lovers experienced a day in an extraordinary context, characterized by a passion for cycling and an active life in the open air, all in total safety and with the aim of being of help to the Dynamo Camp, a unique structure, who helps sick children. All the participants, dressed in the yellow jersey that celebrated the fourth edition and paid homage to the Tour de France, faced the challenging 54 km starting from the Imola Autodromo track, the legendary route of the 2020 Cycling World Championships, and some of the passages that will be included in the second stage of the Tour De France 2024. What made the day even more special was the presence of many sports stars: Davide Cassani, sports director and president of the Emilia Romagna Tourist Promotion Company, the voices of cycling Giada Borgato, Giovanni Visconti and Luca Gregorio, a large representation of Italian athletes from the Fisg – Italian Ice Sports Federation including the multi-medallists Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri, Francesca Lollobrigida, Stefania Constantini. Also present were the Italian triathlon athletes Asia Mercatelli, Angelica Prestia, Alessandro Saravalle and Sharon Spimi, the multi-title rally champion Renato Travaglia and Andrea Pusateri, paracyclist. In conjunction with the Suzuki Bike Day for adults, the 2nd Suzuki Bike Day Junior also took place inside the racetrack, an event created specifically for very young people aged 6 to 14, who participated in various activities, including the contest “Draw what the bicycle represents for you”, and they tried their hand at a non-competitive and non-timed cycle route set up specifically for educational purposes. Furthermore, with their companion, they were able to pedal freely on the asphalt of the legendary “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” racetrack, a privilege usually reserved for professional drivers and cyclists together with sports champions. The Suzuki Bike Day was also a success for its charitable purpose aimed at Dynamo Camp, the first Recreational Therapy camp established in Italy for children suffering from serious or chronic pathologies. Thanks to the generosity of the many participants, a total of 16,275 euros was delivered to Dynamo Camp. Next edition Saturday 14 June 2025.
