The mayor today had a meeting with the leaders of the Ring Road to define the opening times of the connection ramps to the tunnel connecting the Ring Road and the Port

The mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni asked the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, for compensation for displaced people and different housing assistance solutions, in particular contributions for independent accommodation.

The request of the Municipality – explains Mayor Manzoni – it would benefit those families in which there are people with disabilities. It is my duty to guarantee, above all, to vulnerable citizens that they are brought closer to their homes and in more adequate conditions. The Prefect shared my request, immediately requesting the national Department of Civil Protection to grant the contribution despite there being no declaration of national emergency. While waiting to receive consent, we are working for those people whose properties are uninhabitable. With the Caf we are proceeding towards the stipulation of an agreement to assist families free of charge in completing the application forms for the provision of the contribution – highlights Manzoni – We want to find the best solutions to the problems of citizens who, despite the inconveniences and anxieties, are demonstrating a great sense of responsibility in such a difficult moment”

In the last few hours, Mayor Manzoni had a meeting at the headquarters of the Naples Spa Ring Road to define the opening times of the connection ramps to the tunnel connecting the Ring Road and the Port. “The works, started and never completed for too many years – concludes the mayor of Pozzuoli – they represent fundamental escape routes in the event of major seismic events. With the decisive commitment of the governor of Campania De Luca, through the work of the General Directorate for Major Works and the Commissioner’s Structure L. 887/84, we have taken action leading to the termination of the contract with the concessionaire Copin Due Spa, as a consequence of the serious non-compliances recorded. During this morning’s meeting we defined the new design, quantified the necessary resources and established the relevant approval and use procedures for the resources allocated by the Region. We quickly overcame incomprehensible delays”.

Soon, the Municipality of Pozzuoli explains, with the agreement of the Ministry of Transport, it will be possible to define the completion times of the ramps in the direction of Naples and in the direction of Rome which will certainly be open by the end of the year.
