TARANTO – The Taranto police arrested, for two separate incidents, a 44-year-old of Romanian origins and a 37-year-old from Taranto, allegedly responsible for persecutory acts and personal injuries towards their respective partners.
Yesterday morning, according to what was reported by the victim, the Tarantino hit the pregnant woman in the face, with the aim of forcing her to terminate the pregnancy.
In Massafra, the 44-year-old was arrested after the victim decided to file a complaint, saying that the physical and psychological harassment had been going on for some time.
A THIRD ARREST IN MARTINA FRANCA
A 66-year-old from Martina Franca (Taranto) was arrested and placed under house arrest by the police on charges of domestic abuse. The officers intervened in a country house after receiving reports of a violent argument between spouses. Awaiting their arrival was a 65-year-old woman who, visibly agitated, said she had suffered yet another attack from her husband. The unfortunate woman, who showed visible bruises on her legs and arms, was reassured and taken to the emergency room. The man was arrested red-handed and placed under house arrest on the orders of the prosecutor on duty.
The woman then reported that she had been forced to suffer assaults and harassment on several occasions. In the past, the husband had also been reported for threatening some neighbors over disputes regarding boundary issues between private properties.
