A doctor from Robbie will lead the Pneumology of Novara

ROBBIO. The new head of Pneumology at the “Maggiore della Carità” hospital in Novara is from Lomellino. This is Filippo Patrucco, 39 years old, originally from Robbio. Patrucco’s appointment was made official by the Novara hospital. In fact, the previous head doctor, Doctor Piero Emilio Balbo, left the management of the respiratory system diseases structure of the Novara university hospital after reaching the age limit. So the new director is Dr. Filippo Patrucco, who has attended the Novara university since 2008. In fact, having graduated from the University of Eastern Piedmont, Dr. Patrucco began his training as an endoscopist under the direction of Dr. Balbo. He obtained his PhD in Medical and Biotechnological sciences and the second level Master’s degree in Interventional Pneumology from the Polytechnic University of Marche in 2022. He worked as a pulmonologist at the Sant’Andrea hospital in Vercelli from 2017 to 2020 when, in full Covid pandemic, he moved to the Novara hospital.

He mainly deals with interventional pulmonology and interstitial lung diseases. For some years he has taught in the schools of specialization in Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the UPO and is a speaker at numerous national courses in the pneumology field, as well as having published several articles in sector magazines.
