In the late afternoon today, Messina President Pietro Sciotto and last season’s coach Giacomo Modica will meet to (hopefully) resolve the issue of leading the biancoscudata team for the next 2024-25 C championship.
The groundwork was laid during previous contacts.
A possible agreement depends on the duration of the contract (two years), the remuneration and the needs of the coach to be able to aim for a championship of absolute tranquility and improvement of expectations compared to the difficult previous years. Training ground available to the team (S.Lucia or Giammoro) and operational organization of proven competence seem essential points for the coach
From the first meetings Sciotto was able to record the coach’s needs, postponing any final decision after his reflections and evaluations.
The parties do not seem distant even if the position of the Roma DS still to be defined and the identification by the President of an organizational chart which is still not defined have an impact on the officiality.
The renovation of a new youth sector after the break with the Camaro ’69 will also take center stage. But on this point Modica will think of relying on the company’s decisions.
