Municipal elections, Pescara confirms Carlo Masci: only the official status is missing

In Pescara the outgoing mayor Carlo Masci is confirmed, exceeding 51 percent of the preferences.
All that’s missing now is the official status as there are only a few sections left to be scrutinized.

The center-left’s opponent Carlo Costantini stops just under 33.97 percent.

No runoff, therefore, in Pescara, where between now and the next three years, the ground will be prepared for La Nuova Pescara headed by the mayor, an expression of the centre-right, who has administered the city for the last five years.

Domenico Zaccardi Pettinari, candidate for civic mayor, obtained 13.15 percent of the preferences, while Gianluca Fusilli, candidate with the United States of Europe list, achieved 1.78 percent of the votes.

An afternoon of ups and downs, waiting for official data, in the committee in via Parini, headquarters of mayor Masci. The most difficult moment was experienced when, around 6pm, the difference between the two main candidates narrowed. Then, however, gradually, the percentage began to grow again in favor of the outgoing mayor. Carlo Masci followed the counting from home, going to the committee only after the “safe” result was confirmed.

A more tense climate, however, in Carlo Costantini’s committee in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

There are 170 sections scrutinized out of 170
