Alan Fabbri celebrates and is moved by his re-election as mayor of Ferrara: “Important result”

Ferrara, 11 June 2024 – The entrance at the municipal building it is triumphal. Alan Fabbri enter through the front door, from overall winner of this election round. “Ferrara has chosen change again”, said Alan Fabbri, a few hours before the end of the votes. At 45, the mayoral candidate for the centre-right and so mayor for the fourth time. At thirty years old he was elected mayor of Bondeno (in the Ferrara area), where he was then confirmed for second term with 65% of the votes. Already mayor of Ferrara in June 2019 – the first centre-right in Ferrara in 73 years – it was reconfirmed now with a large majority. 57.88% of Ferrara residents he in fact voted for the Alan Fabbri’s coalition with 40,921 votes out of a total of 72,288 voters (il 67.6% of members). There civic list Alan Fabbri Mayor was awarded – by itself – the 30.56%with 20,934 votes. It results to be the most popular mayor of the last legislatures. The predecessor, Tiziano Tagliani, was elected mayor of Ferrara in 2009 in the run-off with a percentage of 56.83% with 39,352 votes (source: historical election archive of the Municipality of Ferrara).

On the Regionals

“Without Bonaccini it is easier” for the center-right “to try to contest the Region”, also said Fabbri, who just ten years ago, in 2014, was a candidate for the regional elections which then brought Stefano Bonaccini to the helm of Emilia-Romagna. Right from governor, newly elected in Brussels, Fabbri received a phone call this morning. “He called me at 8.30, he called me Congratulations, Stefano is a friend, there is a relationship with him that demonstrates a certain elegance”, he explains to Ansa. “Unlike some”, he adds, referring to the main centre-left challenger in these municipal elections, Fabio Anselmo, lawyer in the Aldrovandi and Cucchi cases. “The fact that he hasn’t called or written to me is strange,” he says of Anselmo.
