At the request of Fce Circumetnea, from tomorrow, Wednesday 12 Junepart of ring road will be closed to traffic to allow undeferrable work on the sewer collector, near the metro station Monte Podepending on the imminent opening of the Fontana and Monte Po metro stations.
The timetable of traffic measures includes this timetable: from 9am on Wednesday 12 June it will be closed to traffic via Felice Fontana, Northern carriageway, from the Monte Po roundabout in the direction of Misterbianco for the execution of the works up to the center line of the central traffic island of the ring road; as an alternative road system, the coplanar road will be made available to traffic via Mezzocampo which from the Monte Po roundabout will bypass the closed section of the ring road; by 6pm on Friday 14 June, the entire roadway of the ring road in the direction of Misterbianco will be reopened to traffic; No work will be carried out on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June; on Monday 17 June, starting from 7.00, works will begin on Via Felice Fontana, South carriageway, on a single alternate lane in the direction from Misterbianco towards Catania, Monte Po roundabout, and traffic will be guaranteed on a single lane; Friday June 21st, starting from 6.00 pm, the complete reopening of the ring road is expected. The municipal police will be present to regulate traffic flows and alleviate traffic inconveniences, favoring alternative roads (San Giorgio, ring road, service axis exit and equipped axis).
