One of the television revelations of 2024, Richard Gaddis about to go into business with HBO e BBC. The mind behind the phenomenon Baby Reindeer, as well as the real-life protagonist of the story that inspired the story of the Netflix series, has created a new series that will be a co-production between the British and American networks. Long 6 episodes, Lions will follow two brothers who share a complicated past. “When Ruben shows up at brother Niall’s wedding, an explosion of violence erupts that throws us back into their lives,” reads the official synopsis. “Spanning nearly 40 years, from the 1980s to today, this ambitious series will cover the ups and downs of the brothers’ relationship, from their meeting as teenagers to their breakup as adults, with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry and difficult moments along the way. It will capture the wild energy of a changing city, even a changing world, and seek to answer the difficult question… What does it mean to be a man?” the description concludes.

Gadd will serve as a writer and executive producer on the series alongside Tally Garner (Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell) and Morven Reid (Chloe), Gaynor Holmes (Call the Midwife) e Gavin Smith (River City). It is not yet specified whether he will also play one of the two protagonists.

Since then, it has always been a dream of mine to work with HBO and be a part of their iconic roster of shows.
