«The process of change of a city – says the mayor of Taranto, Rinaldo Melucci – also manifests itself through initiatives that require the active participation of the community. And the proof is precisely this ambitious project which, involving the creation of six works of visual art, all of which will then be exhibited in the BAC, a symbolic place of innovation, will tell not only the beauty of our streets, but also the stories and faces of Tarantini.”

«It is important for institutions to create a new relationship with citizens – he declares Rodolfo Sardone, scientific director of Calliope – we seek connections with the territory, from an interdisciplinary perspective, to evaluate and implement the One Health approach everywhere”.

L’artist Mimmo Martorelli comments: «Today it is essential to adopt a simple language shared with all institutions based on dialogue and discussion and capable of reaching the citizen, as a common good. Here, in this context, relational and participatory art becomes a new form of communication suitable for the citizen.” There president of Ipacs, Francesca Cioffi, underlines that «the initiative has artistic, social and educational purposes, since our objective is to train aware, prepared and proactive citizens in the best possible way on objectives of collective interest. And the synergy with the Common and the ASL Tarantoin their being well rooted in the territory, represents the common thread”.
