The Civil Protection has issued a yellow warning for the risk of thunderstorms in Milan and other areas of the Lombardy region. Heavy showers could start to occur from 6pm today, Monday 10 June.
Is active the yellow alert due to risk of thunderstorms starting from 6pm today, Monday 10 June, until 6am tomorrow morning, Tuesday 11 June. The Civil Protection of Lombardy in its bulletin indicates the cause as an infiltration of fresh air at high altitude of intensification of the unstable flow over the Region. This will lead to showers that could develop throughout the evening temporal. The most affected areas will be Hydraulic hub of Milan, the Central Plain and the Upper Eastern Plain.
From the central hours of June 10th showers are expected reliefs Lombards. After that these will extend towards the high plain in the evening and during the night they will move from West to East. The possibility that strong or persistent phenomena will occur remains low, but in fact it is more likely that they will occur isolated thunderstormsbut locally intense, especially on the border area between the plains and the mountains in the evening.
The conditions of instability will persist into the early hours of Tuesday 11 June, which could lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms across all areas of the region. In particular, it is more likely that these will hit the plain sectors, while starting from the central hours of the day on the highlands.

From late afternoon, and even in the evening, the most intense phenomena could occur on the plain and the Pre-Alps. Initially on the western sectors, then they should move in the evening and even at night to the more eastern sectors. These, however, remain predictions that will have to be evaluated again by the Civil Protection Functional Center for the possible issuing of alert codes.
