The fourth edition of “Platani in festa” recorded an extraordinary success, attracting a record number of visitors compared to previous years. The event, organized by the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish with the support of the Municipality and private sponsors, was held on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The parish priest, Marco Diara, expressed great satisfaction with the massive participation, underlining how the initiative responds to the desire for aggregation and to experience moments of light-heartedness. The program offered a variety of entertainment, including street performers, dance schools and DJ sets, which kept the audience’s attention until late into the night.
One of the most appreciated aspects of the event was the active participation of the businesses along Viale dei Platani, which created a lively community atmosphere. However, the success of the event exceeded the organizers’ expectations, so much so that local products such as cavati di casa and cannoli were sold out just an hour and a half after the start of the party.
Saturday evening saw DJ sets by Michele Ricca, Andrea Bonuomo, Saro Sallemi and Julio Vox, as well as engaging performances by street artists such as Franse, Sbadaclown, Circo Ramingo and Rebel Circus. Music played a central role, with performances by Rimmel, Green Box and Picciotti di Vasco: piano & voice, with Vincenzo Fontes and Leandro Lami. The ArteMia, Dance with Me and Star Dance dance schools offered intense and engaging shows, entertaining the audience in an exciting way.
