On Fonseca arriving at Milan after Stefano Pioli: «It won’t be easy for him to coach Milan. Pioli did well, he won, he built a team and in these last three years of the Champions League Milan have been protagonists. In my opinion, it won’t be easy for him to establish himself at Milan either.”
On what he saw of Fonseca in Rome: «I haven’t always liked what I’ve seen. In every game at the beginning he always changed, a lot, perhaps he changed too much. He kept the players moving a lot. I don’t know if it’s good for the team or not, I honestly didn’t like it. I prefer to start with eleven starters, then there’s the bench. In Rome, however, a lot changed…”.
More on Fonseca: «He is certainly an experienced coach, who has traveled a lot and has always done his job. But coaching Milan is a great responsibility. Milan is Milan. Milan always aims high. His story says so.”
