POZZUOLI/ “Senzanome” bring home another well-deserved success – Cronaca Flegrea

POZZUOLI – Not even bradyseism, which has returned to disrupt the lives of us Phlegraeans, has managed to stop the passion and professionalism of the excellent director Rosaria Scotti who, together with the actors of the “I Senzanome” company, have tried and tried for months to bring on stage “Once upon a time…”. Since 2015 one success after another. Fifteen this time on the stage of the Troisi Theater in Naples, two evenings that ended yesterday which sold out the box office. An amazing and captivating Patrizia Giordano in the role of the wicked Stepmother captured everyone’s attention. Prince Charming played the role of a very nice Pasquale Tesone, applause also went to the tender Martina Mangiapia in the role of an unusual Cinderella; Notes of merit also go to Susy Garofalo’s costumes and Gianni Ruggiero’s choreography for Cinderella’s ball at the palace, “modern day” version. Well yes… Princes and princesses, pumpkins that transform into carriages and humming dwarves ready to go to work… There are fairy tales engraved in our memory, whose developments and endings have taught the world to dream in a certain way. But what if the protagonists of these stories were not exactly as they were told to us? What if they had made different choices? Would we still be unconsciously waiting for the enchanted kiss and spells of the blue fairy? This show, through a compelling narrative full of twists and turns, showed us how a great fairy tale classic, seen from another perspective, can lead to tragicomic developments and an unexpected ending. Last night we witnessed a fairy tale (perhaps the best known and most told in the world) turned upside down and revisited, which surprised and enchanted like never before.
“Once upon a time..”. If they had told it like this… Who knows…
