So what are they? the main measures arranged in the security area and when will they come into force? The parking and stopping ban begins from 7 am on June 12th until 7 am on June 14th. Instead, the traffic ban for vehicles and pedestrians will come into force on the day of the dinner, scheduled for June 13th, specifically from 7 am on the 13th until 1 am on June 14th. It is also worth remembering that residents of the security area and also workers will only be able to reach the destination on foot, scooters and bicycles are also prohibited, however, subject to showing the police force a document that provides the right to transit (e.g. identity card, copy of business license, employer authorization). But what are the provisions that will come into force even earlier, from 11 June? The first restrictions concern the airport and the area near the Santa Maria del Casale church, added to these are the strengthening of the public transport service which will be free.
The parking lots
In the first case, from 7 am on the 11th until 2 pm on the 16th of June, the Bms P8 (municipal) and Saba P9 (inside the airport) car parks will be closed to the public, in the same area the rental companies will also not be operational. Airport users will be able to reach the airport via the alternative road system set up by the Municipality of Brindisi. For those who need to park their vehicles, the parking area at Acque Chiare SP41 (600 spaces) will be activated and a free shuttle service will be made available. Furthermore, on June 13th from 7 pm to 11 pm, a temporary ban on airspace was ordered, interested people will be able to contact their respective airlines to check changes to their flight. In the second case, which concerns the road leading to the church of Santa Maria del Casale, from 7 am on the 11th until 1 pm on the 16th June, there is a ban on transit and parking in the area in front of the church, in the stretch of road with access from via contrada Baroncino between the two car parks Bms P8 and Saba P9 up to the delimitation of the access barrier and the flower boxes and, on the opposite side, in the stretch of road that starting from via Maestri del Lavoro/via Ruggero De Simone runs along the airport fence up to the height of two large flower boxes. The bans also exist in the unnamed street which is accessed from the Fanuzzi Stadium.

Also starting from June 11th but from 2 pm until 2 pm on June 14th, the STP urban lines will be free and there will be a connection with the parking areas identified for citizens who will not be able to park in the security area and airport passengers (Acque Chiare SP 41, Largo Poliziano Parco Bove, Palapentassuglia, BrinPark, Le Colonne shopping center, via Spagna and via Grecia to the Bozzano district, via del Lavoro to the Minnuta district). Particular attention was paid to connections to and from the Perrino hospital. Furthermore, the sea service has also been strengthened with the use of two motorboats which will be able to transit exclusively between the maritime station and the Ammiraglio Millo stop, from 06.15 to 1.40. In short, starting tomorrow the collaboration of citizens is required, be careful not to forget your identity document at home.
