Due to the bad weather alert for heavy rain and wind in the evening until midnight, the local crisis unit of the Municipality of Milan met with the participation of the Civil Protection Authority and the departments concerned, to examine the situation and coordinate the necessary interventions. In part of the Lombardy region there is an orange alert, while it is at yellow level in Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto and Tuscany.

The weather in the next few hours

A new disturbed impulse, of Atlantic origin, will bring further conditions of instability, between today’s evening and tomorrow’s day, with predominantly thunderstorm precipitation, locally also of strong intensity, especially in Lombardy and Triveneto. The Civil Protection Department, in agreement with the regions involved, has issued a further warning of adverse weather conditions. Weather phenomena could cause hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities. The warning predicts scattered to widespread rainfall from today’s afternoon, predominantly showers or thunderstorms, over Veneto and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, in addition to the persistence of these phenomena in Lombardy. The events will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent lightning strikes, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
