In a central street of the city of Cosenza, a man was stopped and arrested; he accuses her: threatening passers-by with a knife. The man is now under house arrest
COSENZA – State Police personnel carried out yesterday, as part of the extraordinary services ordered by the Police Commissioner of the Province of Cosenza Giuseppe Cannizzaro and coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor’s Office, several checks in the city, aimed at combating crime and controlling the territory during which a person was arrested after being caught in the act of committing crimes of private violence, serious and aggravated threat, extortion aggravated and carrying objects capable of offending in a public place.
In particular, on today’s morning, 9 June 2024, the police officers on duty controlling the area were alerted by some citizens frightened by the presence of a man armed with a knife who was threatening people near a bar. The reported man was tracked down by a team from the Crime Prevention Department, in a central street of the city, while he shouted incoherent phrases. Immediately stopped, the man was seized with a large kitchen knife approximately 30 cm long. Once the formalities had been completed, the man was arrested and subsequently placed under house arrest.
