For the second consecutive year, i city ​​parks of Biberach, Rio Crosio and the Parco della Rimembranza of Asti will be subjected to surveillance by the Italian Environmental Guards, based in Vigliano d’Asti. The association has stipulated a three-year agreement with the Municipality of Asti to guarantee the safety and decorum of these green spaces.

“Our goal is to ensure that citizens can enjoy a pleasant and peaceful experience during their walks in the parks” he claims Piero Luigi Masoero, provincial coordinator of the Environmental Guards. “We promptly report any problems to the municipal police, such as broken toys, abandoned waste or unsafe branches.”

The association, made up of 9 volunteers, guarantees a constant presence in the parks during the afternoons, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Four environmental guards are always present to monitor the situation and coordinate with local law enforcement, sending daily reports and reference photographs.

“We collaborate closely with the municipal police, immediately communicating any problems encountered,” he concludes. “This synergy allows us to intervene promptly and preserve the quality of these public spaces.”
