The opposition city councilors of Pozzuoli, Marzia Del Vaglio, Guido Iasiello, Paolo Ismeno, Angelo Lucignano and Gianluca Sebastianowith a joint note they intervene on the issue bradyseism which is characterizing the city of Pozzuoli in particular in recent weeks. “The return to normality hoped for by the administration involves – as was predictable – shocks that keep the population awake. So, while we hurry through the electoral campaign, many return to the streets, many have never returned home. Is it possible to continue talking about normality, while everything else is in emergency? Many, too many things are not working – underline the councilors. The Municipality of Pozzuoli has withdrawn 100,000 euros from the Reserve Fund – absolutely essential funds – to pay overtime to employees for their efforts during emergencies.
It is necessary to withdraw economic resources from other budget chapters, already allocated for activities, which at this moment have taken a backseat, compared to the difficulties experienced by our fellow citizens, especially those evicted. The priorities are different. What happened to the money for the hiring of civil protection personnel foreseen by the Campi Flegrei Decree? Eviction orders issued, revoked, orders to carry out ad horas safety works. Citizens who learn about the eviction only following a quick “check” on the praetorian notice board. Is it possible to subject evicted citizens, already in marginal conditions, to the circus of bureaucracy and ordinances?
The City Council of Pozzuoli has approved an agenda with which it asks the central government for immediate and direct interventions, not only on buildings but also to support families and activities. None of this has arrived, yet the Mayor said he was satisfied with the discussions with the Government – highlight the city councilors. He even sanctified the Campi Flegrei DL, which in fact proves to be insufficient to deal with the emergency. The removal of the curtains was good.
