Friday 28 June at 5.30pm; the Sala Rossa of the headquarters of the Sicily regional committee of the NLD in Ficarazzi will host the 2nd edition of the “Sicilian football festival”. After last year’s success, it will be repeated with the hosting of the journalist Nadia La Malfa, supported by the much-loved Palermo comedian Sasà Salvaggio who will offer the best of his vast repertoire of sketches, jokes and lots of laughter. On this occasion, to embellish the day of celebration, there will be the presence of the president of the National Amateur League Giancarlo Abete: an institutional figure who has always been close to the Sicilian football world.
It will be a festive afternoon full of entertainment and entertainment. The event, conceived and organized by the Sicily regional committee of the LND chaired by Sandro Morgana, will feature the winning teams of the championships from Excellence to Second category, up to the youth ones, five-a-side football and women’s football in the 2023-24 season which they will be rewarded with the delivery of the cup. Not only that, special prizes will also be awarded on the occasion: “Filippo Lentini” prize for the best footballer; “Bino Abisso” award to the best coach; “Angelo Amendolia” Award for the best referee; “Gianfranco Provenzano” Award for his career; “Speciale Orazio Siino” Award and “Franco Zuccalà” Award to the sports press.
“For the second consecutive year we are re-proposing an entertainment event, which has now rightfully entered the agenda of our Regional Committee, which last year had a great success with the public and participation, at the end of an once again extraordinary season – the president of CR Sicilia Sandro Morgana was keen to underline -. It will be a celebration of Sicilian football in grand style which will feature all the winners of our championships, but not only: the special prizes, the professionalism of Nadia La Malfa in hosting the program and the laughter of Sasà Salvaggio will serve to delight the audience present.” .
