Serious road accident on Saturday afternoon along the Valnerina Ternana (state road 209 Valnerina) between Torre Orsina and Arrone. A motorcyclist lost his life in the crash. More blood along the Umbrian streets.
Deadly in Valnerina The impact between the two-wheeled vehicle and a car left the centaur, a man from Terni over sixty, no escape. The driver of the car, however, was injured together with another motorcyclist on board another two-wheeled vehicle. The dynamics of the accident are still being investigated. Traffic at the accident site was temporarily interrupted. Firefighters, 118 operators and law enforcement were on site.
Blood in the Umbrian streets This is the third fatal accident within 24 hours in Umbria. On Friday the car-motorcycle crash in Passignano sul Trasimeno left a 47-year-old man with no escape. A 23-year-old boy lost his life in the night between Friday and Saturday in Castiglion del Lago. According to initial reconstructions, the young man first hit the pole with his car and then overturned, ending up in the center of the road. And finally the tragic crash along the Valnerina state road.
