Road tragedy in Umbria: three deaths in less than 24 hours
Road tragedy in Umbria – Umbria has witnessed a series of tragic road accidents resulting in the loss of three lives in less than 24 hours. The most recent of these accidents took place along the Valnerina state road, in the province of Terni. A motorcyclist lost his life in an accident which also involved a car. The incident occurred between Torre Orsina and Arrone, and the causes are currently being investigated by the local police. In addition to the deceased motorcyclist, the driver of another motorbike and the motorist involved in the accident were injured. The firefighters and 118 personnel intervened at the scene of the accident.
In another incident, a 23 year old boy originally from Eastern Europe lost his life in Castiglione del Lago. According to what was reconstructed by the police, the young man lost control of the car he was driving, hitting the pavement and a pole, then overturning and ending the race in the center of the roadway. The young man died instantly.
Finally, a 47 year old motorcyclist, resident in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, died following a road accident in Passignano. The man was driving his motorbike when a collision with a car occurred near an intersection in the industrial area of Passignano sul Trasimeno.
These tragic events they point out the importance of road safety and the need to take all possible precautions when driving. The loss of these three lives in such a short time is a warning to us all.
