Filippo Galliformer defender of Milan and former director of the Rossoneri’s youth sector, spoke to our microphones on the sidelines of the “Serie A Festival” in Parma: “I really like Zirkzee, we hope that Milan will be able to close the deal. I imagine it won’t be easy for the many requests, but if it arrived it would be a strong point of the new Milan.”
What is the position in which Milan needs to strengthen?
“Everyone has underlined the too many goals conceded, but it’s not just a problem of the defenders. I think we will have to start from the front, in addition to Zirkzee it would be nice to have a first striker who guarantees many goals, I won’t name any names, imagine them. And then I think a holding midfielder who could be ideal for this Milan. And maybe a central defender. It would be four strikes that would put the new coach in a position to do well.”
Would it be easier for Milan to do without Theo or Maignan?
“It’s difficult to say, they are two players who have made a great contribution. Theo was decisive on the left with Leao. Between the two I would prefer not to lose anyone and I believe that no one will be lost.”
On the national team.
“I hope for Spalletti that this national team does well. I have a lot of confidence in his ability to quickly transmit his principles to the group, from my point of view there is optimism. There are many strong teams, there are of important groups”.
He has been linked to Genoa. How much is true?
“I also read on social media, but I haven’t been contacted by anyone. It would be a nice landing, but there has been no contact and I don’t know who spread this rumor.”
On the promotion of Parma.
“Congratulations to Parma for having achieved Serie A. Congratulations to Pecchia. When such an important result is achieved it is always a work of all the components. In football, sustainability is a word that is a little out of use, perhaps difficult to achieve, but Parma he is also doing great things from this point of view. He can maintain his identity, perhaps with some additions, but don’t ask me which ones because I haven’t followed Parma with great attention.”
On Fonseca.
“I don’t know him very well, but I spoke to people who have worked with him, who I trust a lot, and they told me very positive things. His team in France defended well despite playing attacking football, this can be an element that can make us think positively.”
What do you think of Camarda’s explosion and Milan’s Under 23 project?
“Congratulations to Camarda and all the Under 17 boys. Milan should register with the Under 23 team for the Lega Pro championship, even when I was there with Mirabelli and Fassone there was this idea of making the second team, then It’s canceled.
