Lombardy Region has released ayellow alert for thunderstorm risk from 11.00 on 06/09/2024 until next update.
During Sunday 09/06 an increase in instability is expected: from late morning scattered showers and thunderstorms will form in the Region, initially on the highlands, passing over the plains in the afternoon and further intensifying: possibility of strong and more severe thunderstorms organized from late afternoon and evening, with locally very strong wind gusts in the central-eastern sectors, tending to weaken in the early hours of Monday.

  • At home, avoid using household appliances and landline telephones and unplug them
  • Do not wear metallic objects
  • Stay away from water
  • Keep about ten meters away from other people
  • Avoid taking shelter under trees or tall, sharp structures
  • You can take shelter in your car with the doors and windows closed and the radio antenna lowered
  • If you are driving and visibility is poor, stop in a suitable parking area
  • Avoid the underpasses of via Monviso, Bergamo and Cappuccini
