Success for the final event of Acqua Amica 2024, which was held this morning at the Sala dell’Orologio del Caos, in Terni, where the winning classes of the project dedicated to schools in the area served by Sii (32 Municipalities) were awarded.

This year, Acqua Amicaan awareness campaign aimed at students to educate them on the value of water, a common and precious good and to invest in young people and their future, took place in two phases: during the first, around 1000 students had the opportunity to visit the Source della Lupa (primary schools) and the Orvieto purifier (secondary schools).

In the second phase they participated in the competition organized by Sii in which the students were asked to prepare a work on water and its importance, referring to the experience they had during the visits. Two juries made up of Sii, Asm and Umbriadue technicians viewed the entries and chose the winners who were awarded this morning at a big party.

Present were the president and managing director of Sii Carlo Orsini and Giuseppe Testa, the managing director and operations director of Asm Tiziana Buonfiglio and Stefano Tirinzi, the school councilor of the Municipality of Terni, the vice mayor of the Municipality of Narni, the mayor of the Municipality of Guardea, the mayor of Lugnano in Teverina and the councilor of the Municipality of Giove.

The winner of the competition for primary schools was the 4C of the Ciconia complex (IC Orvieto Montecchio). Three ex aequo for second place: 3A, 4A and 4Abis from the Garibaldi school of Narni (IC Narni Centro), the 3A from the Mazzini school of Terni (DD Mazzini), and the 2C and 2D from the Ciconia complex (IC Orvieto Montecchio). In third place was the 3A of the Anita Garibaldi school of Terni (DD Mazzini).

The winner of the competition for secondary schools was 1G of Guardea (IC Attigliano Guardea). In second place the 1D of Lugnano in Teverina (IC Attigliano Guardea) and in third place the 2A of Giove (IC Attigliano Guardea).

The winners were given cash prizes for the purchase of educational materials. Acqua Amica will return in 2025 with new projects linked to the territory, with awareness that the culture of sustainability begins with the training and involvement of new generations.
