Virgilio, an educator by profession, is the current deputy mayor and municipal councilor with responsibilities for Territory and Heritage. He is supported by four electoral formations: the civic list “Cremona sei tu”, the PD, “Left for Cremona – Civil Energy” and “Making New Cremona active”.

During the election campaign, Andrew Virgil he declared that he wanted to open a new political season without subordination compared to the past and said he was convinced that a city can only grow if it gives space to the protagonism of its citizens. In his program, the energy transition stands out with public transport vehicles destined to become zero emissions. Then also expansion of the “30 zones”, support for the Fair, attention to the welfare of residents.

During the election campaign, Alessandro Portesani focused on the theme of urban safety, prefiguring the presence of new agents who are close to the people. It intends to strengthen the monitoring of the city’s free zones to resolve situations of severe degradation and create an active network for legality and safety.

In the weeks leading up to the vote, Paola Tacchini revealed that she was driven to run for office by the desire to improve the environmental situation of Cremona, “one of the most polluted cities in Europe”. Yes to photovoltaics on roofs or already built areas, to renewable energy communities and decarbonisation.

Giovetti promises «more funds, more police, more protection for citizens, but also night-time closures of vending machines, new video surveillance systems and a review of the restricted traffic zone.”

The proposal of Maria Vittoria Ceraso wants to place itself at the center of the two centre-right and centre-left camps. A voting alternative with moderate ideas. Among the main objectives of the program put young people at the centre.

In the program by Angelo Frigoli the attention to the female world stands out (with interventions to reduce the wage gap as well as to increase the number of places available in affordable nursery and nursery schools). Extreme attention to dilapidated school buildings, precariousness in the world of work and the lack of public housing.

Not just the capital city: there are others 86 Municipalities to vote for the election of their mayor, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. But they all have it less than 15 thousand inhabitants.
