Varese: Chinese citizen arrested for illicit importation of drugs

(LaPresse) Financiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Varese, during an operation aimed at combating international drug trafficking, arrested, in flagrante delicto, a Chinese citizen guilty of having imported a gross kilo and a half of resin of Marijuana. The shipment, which arrived at the Cargo City of Malpensa Airport from the United States, was intercepted by the Fiamme Gialle of the Malpensa Group which, committed to analyzing the thousands of shipments passing through every day, on the basis of accurate selection procedures based on indexes of economic-financial risk have identified the one containing the narcotic substance. With the authorization of the Judicial Authority of Busto Arsizio, the Financiers carried out the “special operations” aimed at acquiring further evidence and factual elements useful for identifying those responsible for drug trafficking, identifying the real recipient of the shipment, who is was delivered to Milan. The resulting flagrant intervention allowed the economic-financial police to seize the shipment containing more than one and a half kilos of very high purity Marijuana resin, which could have produced a quantity of over 4000 doses, and to arrest the importer. During the flagrant crime operation, the Financiers searched the arrested person’s home and found further Marijuana resin, Hashish, Codeine syrup. The Fiamme Gialle also found 4 cylinders of nitrous oxide in the suspect’s house. Specifically, the latter substance, available in the form of vapor, can also be used as a narcotic substance that can be inhaled. Also found during the local search were 800 euros in cash, two mobile phones, three knives and a taser.
